2010 Common Wealth Games Preparation and Theme Song

Nineteenth(XIX) Commonwealth Games is been scheduled to be held in Delhi, India between 3 October and 14 October 2010. The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. It will also be the first time the Commonwealth Games will be held in India and the second time the event has been held in Asia (after 1998 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia). 47.3 hectare (118 acre) site has been selected on the banks of the holy river Yamuna for the Common Wealth Game Village. Village is built with a cost of 40 million USD by the Government of India. There will be no cost for the Organizing Committee and athletes and officals.
Village has within its heritage monuments and historical landmarks. Combined with the dense green natural cover on the sides, it will be a relaxing and soothing environment for the athletes and officials.
