Motorola Mobility to be acquired by Google for $12.5 billion

Google announced on Monday(15th August)  morning that it will acquire Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion. Motorola is one of the 39 members of the  Open Handset  that use Google s Android operating system in their Handset.

I assume, Google plan to bring their own devices in their mobile market, so this acquistion would be an path for it. There is another question raised to google   about  development of Moto and their products ?…

Global feels buying a hardware company is an unusual move for Google. The acquisition, Google said in a statement, €œwill enable Google to supercharge the Android ecosystem. €

Because of this acquistion Motorola Mobility shares jumped more than 58% on Monday to better than $38.50 per share after Google announced that it would pay $40 per share in cash for the mobile phone giant. Shares of Google initially fell by 3% in the pre-market on the news

Heavy pressure has been mounted between Nokia and Windows deal after this  great acquistion
