Google Android stands at No 2

Research analysts  have forecasted that Google’s Android mobile operating system (OS) will become the second largest mobile Operating system platform in terms of market share by year-end 2010. Symbian, however will remain number one. Two OSs will account for 59.8 percent of mobile OS sales by 2014. Analyst forecast that Android will vie for the top spot against Nokia’s Symbian OS by 2014

Last Year Android rose above from 3.5 percent and now enjoying a market share of   25.5 percent. following  Symbian, which possesses 36.6 percent share,  but which dropped from 44.6 percent during last year.  Apple iOS, having a 16.7 percent share and RIM which is at 14.8 percent as of now. More than 20.5 million Android devices were sold in this year and this number  was only 1.4 million last year.
