Gmail is most popular in user friendly features like attaching files using drag and drop.Now you can download attachments by dragging and dropping them to the desktop or any already opened folder. 
Now this feature is only available in Google chrome.Using HTML5 File APIs it has been implemented and in future we will expect other browsers also implement this feature using this API.
Just Click an icon near to attachment then drag and drop it on desktop or already opened folder.
