TamilNadu Electricity Board provides a online payment facility for Chennai and Coimbatore consumer currently, TNEB Planning to expand this facility to all the regions of the state.
New scheme of 30 days Assessment/Collection is introduced in Chennai Regions (North & South) from 01/06/2010 onwards. Under this scheme last date for payment of Electricity Bill is 20 days from the date of Assessment / Reading (ie The first 5 days is the due period and the next 15 days is the notice period).
Any error in billing shall be addressed within 2 days from the date of entry of Assessment / Reading in the white meter card. If the 20th day happens to be a holiday, the last day for payment will be the next working day. Penalty charges will be imposed for payment beyond the last date.
Steps to Add your Service Number and Pay your TNEB Online Utility Bill
1. If you are New User to TNEB Online Payment. Click on “New User Signup” link to get your Username and Password information.
2. Login with your Username and Password to TNEB Payment Gateway
3. Add your Service No, By clicking “Add Service No” button on left side of your screen.

Click Submit button after you choosen the payment and service number. You will be redirected to the payment gateway of the bank. Please enroll the card details to complete your payment. On payment successful, you will be getting an email of bill payment confirmation.
