Union Government of India has planned to release limited 100 Rupee coin to celebrate 150th Year of Indian Railway.
On this occasion of Indian Railwat 150th year, a mascot in the form of a cartoon elephant, ‘Bholu’, was adopted. A real elephant was used in some of the celebrations.
Also they planned to release few million two- rupee coins, bearing the indian Railway’s “Mascot Bholu Guard” image on them, both will be release simulataneously for the circulation

Postal Department of India to celebrate the 150th Year of Indian railway, they released a stamp to mark this occasion and also released a stamp mark the centenary celebrations of the first ascent of Mount Everest.
